Labor Day weekend

Abby came into town for the holiday weekend and we visited over a delicious dinner at the Reisterer's. Always great to see Abby and her family!

Jess (+1) and Adam come to visit!

Last year Labor Day we hopped on the ferry and made the trip to Minneapolis for Jess and Adam's wedding. This year they made their way over to Muskegon to spend the last long weekend of summer with us. Jess and Adam are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their baby girl Emme in a few weeks. We had a great weekend- spent some time at the beach, listened to music on the deck of Cap't Jacks, and strolled around Grand Haven. The sweltering heat was not ideal for a very pregnant chick, but Jess was a real trooper!

Thanks for a great weekend guys! Carson can't wait to meet his little girlfriend next summer.

Wow, our baby is a half year old this week. Hard to believe, time sure does fly! Some days I wish I could freeze time, slow things down, keep him in this stage of curiousity and delightful discovery. But then Carson reaches a new milestone, and I can't wait to see what the next day will bring.

Best Buds - Kyle and Carson

Can you believe these are the same baby boys as in the first picture taken just a few months ago?! Kyle and Carson have had many playdates over the past six months (they were born just a few days apart)but during the past few they have begun to really play with one another. It's so much fun to watch them interact, hold hands, and roll into each other. They'll be fighting over toys in no time!
